Pune-based indie and alternative rock band Odyssey 147‘s second single – Bluebird, is out. Odyssey 147 released their debut single Chicken Nuggets in 2021. Like we keep saying, we at ICC have a soft corner for everything rock, and needless to say, we loved Bluebird right from our first play itself.
Bluebird’s musicality and lyrics are soul-searching and melancholic. It explores the turmoil two people in a relationship go through and how the uncertainty of their relationship unwinds. The laid-back and somber soundscapes take their time to build into more intricate textures as the song progresses. The underlying introspective sounds evolve to dramatic, emotionally charged outbursts. The slick arrangement, effectively laid out with guitars, drums, and empathetic lyrics, take us into a massive chorus section with heavily distorted guitars and a sense of grandeur to the realization. Adhitavo, singer-songwriter and a music producer from Pune has produced Bluebird to perfection.
