Nagpur-born Mumbai-based singer-songwriter Salil Milind Jamdar just dropped his third single. Kamsin Nigaahein (Unplugged Live) is an acoustic rendition of his original release by the same name.
“The original song, Kamsin Nigaahein, released a few months ago, was inspired by the idea of marrying simple melodies and acoustic guitar rhythms with electronica fused elements and vocals on top to make an electro-pop production. This was my composer & engineer friend, Agnel Roman‘s vision for the song” recollects Salil.
When recording and producing the original, the duo realised, just acoustic guitar sound and Salil’s vocals, minus the electronica sounds, sounded very beautiful and old school. This was when Agnel and Salil planned to make an Unplugged version. The simple, unplugged sound and the theme gelled very well together. “Agnel’s creative idea of using claps and cheers in the production adds rhythm to the unplugged version and will encourage our listeners to sing along next time we are performing this single,” says Salil.
Kamsin Nigaahein (Unplugged Live) is a slower, softer, and laid-back version. It is a perfect song for a snuggly winter evening near a fireplace with hot cocoa and your pet for company!
