Mumbai-based singer-songwriter Ishaan Nigam has released his new single – O Raahi. It is a cross-over of folk and electronica. There is a sort of freshness you will feel listening to O Raahi.
The enticing atmos layers and soft analog arpeggios start the song on a very calming note. Ishaan’s vocal training shows strongly in this track. Prashant has penned lyrics that are so well written and convey the storyline to the listeners very effectively. Prim4l, on the production deck, has done a fab job of gluing the sounds of two different worlds so flawlessly. When we listened to O Raahi for the first time, we felt like the song was written to uplift those who listen to it.
We love that the indie music space in India is so democratic and experimentative. Amazingly, there is a pool of listeners for every genre. We are in absolute awe of the indie musicians in India. Every song submission we receive proves the grit and vision behind these creations.
